Reverend Hubie J. Nelson, inspired by an unwavering Christian Faith, was able to realize dreams and visions of worshiping in truth and love. The ministry's vision was to be a true New Testament Church where worshiping and serving God could take place unhindered and unrestrained, but where the Holy Spirit has liberty to move at will.
After meeting with a few visionaries, God opened a door where our first worship service would take place at Christian Missionary Industrial College (C.M. & I.) located at 3910 Main Street, Jackson, Mississippi, on February 11, 2001. While worshiping at C.M. & I. various church gatherings such as bible class, prayer meetings, and business meetings took place at the N.C.B.A. Estates, 811 Forest Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi.
In 2002, God opened a door for us to purchase a building and property at 2839 Kings Road Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi. Tabernacle's eight-year tenure on Kings Road proved to be fruitful and rewarding. The Church received new members, applied for corporate status, acquired a van to implement the Transportation Ministry, purchased a new plot of land and constructed the current "Worship Center".
On June 27, 2010 Tabernacle moved to its current location, 2739 West Northside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi, where Pastor Nelson led the church to follow God and to embrace community involvement.
